"Through the power of color and texture, I communicate what I feel and see as an artist. I want the viewer to be moved by each work’s beauty, energy and intensity. In multiple areas of paint or mixed media, I use striking color combinations and unexpected juxtapositions of shapes. Scrubbing, scratching or blurring, I create a rich surface that invites the viewer to come closer and explore the implied and unanswered questions the abstract quality presents. It is a place where realism meets abstraction." ~Gale S. Mckee
