Artists Prints - Paper

Black Cat Studio offers giclèe printing of reproductions for artists from our state-of-the-art, large format 44″ Epson inkjet printers. We only use archival quality pigmented inks on museum quality rolls or sheets of 100% rag paper for permanence ratings of 75 years or more.

What is a giclée?
Originally coined by Jack DuGanne of Nash Editions, Giclèe is the term used to describe the digitally driven ink-jet printing process for making fine art prints. The term, from the French verb gicler, means “to squirt” or “to spray”. Giclée is pronounced shee-clay.

8x10" / 8.5x11" sheet or proof: $25 each
10x12" / 10x10" - $25 first sheet, $25 each add.
11x14" / 12x12" - $35 first sheet, $25 each add.
12x18" / 14x14" - $40 first sheet, $28 each add.
16x20" / 18x18" - $50 first sheet, $35 each add.
18x24" / 20x20" -  $70 first sheet, $50 each add.
20x30" / 24x24" - $90 first sheet, $50 each add.
24x36" / 28x28" - $120 first sheet, $85 each add.
36x48" / 40x40" - $250 first sheet, $175 each add.
40x60" / 44x66" - $330 first sheet, $245 each add.

Odd sizes larger than 18x24 charged at $0.15/sq.in.

Artists Prints - Canvas

BCS carries Canvas in several finishes and weaves including Matte, Satin, and Gloss. Choice of rolled sheet or stretched canvas with hanging wire. Borders must be added to the print depending on the finishing option. Stretcher bars come in two edge depths:  3/4” and 11/2” , and can be printed with a solid color or image.

8x10" / 8.5x11" / 9x12" proof - $30 each
11x14" /11x17:  $40 first sheet, $28 each add.
12x18" - $50 first sheet, $35 each add.
16x20" - $70 first sheet, $50 each add.
18x24" - $85 first sheet, $60 each add.
20x30" - $115 first sheet, $80 each add.
24x36" - $145 first sheet, $95 each add.
36x48" - $290 first sheet, $190 each add.
40x60" - $395 first sheet, $265 each add.

Stretching: includes spray coating & hanging hardware 3/4”  bars, (height + width) x $1.25
1 1/2” bars, (height + width) x $1.50

Edge Printing - Gallery Wrap:
Printed image on the borders, add $30 per image
Color Edges, add $10 per image

Special order media per client request: add 30%

Normal turnaround for all services is 5 business days. Rush service may be available for up to 3 pieces for services including photography, scanning, & art prints. Additional charges for more than 3 pieces.
